Starz is getting ready to release Outlander Season 7. Though the exact date of the premiere has not yet been revealed, but it is set to arrive in mid-2023.

After a long wait due to an unexpected pandemic, fans of Outlander are thrilled at the potential for Season 7 coming out later this year. With Seasons 5 and 6 having two years apart in between their launches because of COVID-19, anticipation is high that Outlander Season 7 releasing in mid-2023.

Production for Season 7 began in April 2022 while filming began in May 2022 in Scotland. There are currently no updates on whether or not the filming is complete. Based on the above updates, we can assume, if just the filming is finished by December 2022 and post-production has begun, we may conclude that Outlander Season 7 will debut in the middle of 2023. Our assumption is based on the fact that most series productions take around 12 months for filming and editing. But if the filming for Outlander Season 7 is still underway, then it’s tough to get a summer 2023 release window.

Cartematt wrote, “Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe on the air until at least late 2024 or early 2025.”

Outlander Season 7 on Starz is sure to be an exciting installment as it adapts Diana Gabaldon's "An Echo in the Bone".  As "A Breath of Snow and Ashes" could not be covered fully in Season 6, executive producer Toni Graphia vowed to air the remaining chapters in Outlander Season 7.

In Outlander Season 7, viewers will travel through time and meet a plethora of unforgettable characters as they explore one family's tumultuous journey during the Revolutionary War. Along with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), fans can look forward to catching up with his son William - whose mysterious background may be revealed - and reacquainting themselves with Lord John Grey (David Berry).

Here’s the synopsis of Echo in the Bone book that will be shown in Outlander Season 7.

"Jamie and Claire Fraser, are now in the midst of the American Revolution;

Their daughter Brianna, her husband Roger MacKenzie, and their two children settled at Lallybroch in the 1970′s (finding their feet after their return from the past—but are unaware that that past is just about to leap out at them again);

Lord John Grey and his stepson William (Jamie’s unacknowledged illegitimate son), are embroiled in the Revolution on the British side with William in the army and Lord John on the clandestine side of intelligence; and
