We can now look forward to the next installment of Laurie Nunn's captivating drama, Sex Education! Filming is fully underway and star Jim Howick has revealed that cast and crew are expected to continue shooting until February 2023. It looks like we have to wait for more for Sex Education Season 4- but it'll definitely be worth the wait!

Moordale High school's journey is coming to an end, and Sex Education Season 3’s finale left us with unresolved stories. With its students having grown up, it seems that our beloved institution will soon be closing forever - leaving viewers asking "What happens next?"

Sex Education Season 4 plotline

To recap: Sex Education Season 3 culminates in a flurry of thrilling cliffhangers! As Adam tackles the high-stakes world of dog agility, fans clamor for Lily's autograph. Hope loses her authority role in the school, Jean shockingly discovers the results of her medical test after waking up from surgery. Maeve declines to participate in the program after Erin sneaks into the school and offers her the funding because she does not want to part ways with Otis at such an early stage of their relationship.

In another scene from the season 3 finale, Eric and Adam part ways because Eric finds it difficult to be in a committed relationship with someone who doesn't accept them for who they are. Moordale Secondary pupils learn that their school is being sold to developers and are instructed to find alternate arrangements in order to complete their studies.

According to THR Sex Education Season 4 "will feature a mix of old and new faces as Sex Education moves on from the shuttered Moordale High in favor of a new school" and we can expect a "creative reset".

Aimee Lou Wood told Digital Spy, "The characters feel like they're in very new territory because they literally are, they're at a new school. A lot of our feeling slightly off-centre is actually also just because of what is happening in the story which is that they are [at] a new school."

"Aimee, particularly, her best friend's in America, she doesn't have a boyfriend for the first time ever, she's at a brand new school where she doesn't have any mates. So there's a lot of newness for all of the characters and I think that that does make the show feel very new."

Here’s how Netflix describes Sex Education Season 4:

Netflix describes Season 4 of Sex Education as such: “Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier—their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, while Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students—they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being…kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the U.S., Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, while adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus.”
