Blackpink's Lisa creates three new world records

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s rapper Lisa has broken some world records. Lisa is added to 3 Guinness categories. She has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the K-pop artist with the most followers on Instagram. Her Solo Song ‘Lalisa’ has become most watched music YouTube video by a solo artist within 24 hours. And Lisa has become the first female solo artist in history to win ‘Best K-Pop Artist’ at the MTV Music Aideo Awards and Europe Music Awards.
The Guinness Book of World Records noted that as of January 19, 2023, Lisa's Instagram followers reached 86.3 million, setting a record. Even after that, the number of followers continued to increase, and as of 9:00 am on the same day, the number of followers is 87.27 million.

Apart from this, Lisa made her solo debut with her single album Lalisa in September 2021. The album sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea, making her the first female artist to do so. The music video for its lead single of the same name recorded 73.6 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release. Soon it became the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on the platform by a solo artist. Both "Lalisa" and the album's second single "Money" were top-ten hits on the Billboard Global 200.
The four-member group, BLACKPINK consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa acts as a team and has the world’s top songs, like How You Like That, DDU-DU DDU-DU, Ice Cream, and lovesick Girls.
The K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has also jointly broken numerous online records throughout their career. Their music videos for "Kill This Love" (2019) and "How You Like That" (2020) set records for the most-viewed music video within the first 24 hours of release, with the latter breaking three and setting two Guinness World Records.
BLACKPINK becomes the most-subscribed music act on the platform and the most-followed girl group on Spotify, with over 29 million followers as of April 2022.
