This Friday, HBO has released a trailer of the third season with the caption “Full **** beast.” The trailer reveals that the plot is about the battle encircling the ownership of WaystarRoyCo. They have also revealed the first looks at Alexander Skarsgård, Adrien Brody and Hope Davis. Watch the trailer below.

Succession Season 3 will release on October 17, 2021, nearly two years after the last episode of season two aired. The nine-episode Season 3 of the series will debut at 9 PM ET/PT, on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

HBO released another trailer earlier in July. At the time, they already hinted that Succession Season 3 could return after this fall. However, now they have revealed the confirmed premiere date via the official Twitter handle of the series.

The production for Succession Season 3 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and commenced in last November.

The official logline for Succession Season 3 sent by HBO is: "Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season two, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war."

The upcoming action-packed third run will pick up from the end of Succession Season 2. Last time, we saw Kendall (played by Jeremy Strong) asking his father Logan Roy(Brian Cox) if he ever saw him fit to run the company. Logan tells his son that he doesn't see him as a "killer."

The next morning Kendall attends the press conference and declares a war against Logan. He said to the attendees of the press conference,"This is the day his reign ends." However, Logan, who is watching a telecast of Kendall's statement, smiles mysteriously.

HBO has added some new faces in the cast list including Sanaa Lathan (as Lisa Arthur - a high profile well-connected New York lawyer), Linda Emond (Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven -  a senior White House aide), Jihae Kim (Berry Schneider- a leading public relations consultant), Hope Davis (Sandi Furness - Sandy's daughter), Dasha Nekrasova (Comfry - a crisis PR representative),  Adrien Brody (Josh Aaronson - a billionaire activist investor who becomes involved in the ownership of Waystar), and  Alexander Skarsgård (Lukas Matsson - a tech founder and CEO).
