Now You See Me 3: Cast, plot & everything you need to know!

The first two sequels of the heist thriller film “Now You See Me” performed exceptionally well and received mixed reviews from critics. It grossed nearly $700 million worldwide at the box office. Currently, Now You See Me 3 is under development.

In May 2015, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced that they had indeed "already begun early planning" for Now You See Me 3. According to the recent status, the production is going to take longer due to the pandemic.

In a recent conversation with ComingSoon.net, Jesse Eisenberg, the Justice League actor discussed the possibilities of Now You See Me 3. He also emphasized on the development of his character in the movie.

Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the cast. However, a buzz circulated via online media that he would be seen as a villain or a cop in the movie.

Lizzy Caplan and Mark Ruffalo was previously said to be reprising the roles of Lula May and Dylan Rhodes Shrike respectively. The other stars, who could back in the third sequel are Morgan Freeman (as Thaddeus Bradley), Dave Franco (Jack Wilder), Michael Caine (Arthur Tressler) and Woody Harrelson (Merritt McKinney).

The storyline for the third movie will be quite different from the previous two movies. Lionsgate hired Eric Warren Singer to pen the script for the third movie. Eric earlier worked as one of the writers for Top Gun: Maverick. He was nominated for Oscar for the black comedy crime film, American Hustle.

The president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Nathan Kahane said "Eric has always been fascinated with the fine art of deception and illusion in all of its forms and he came to us with a great story that takes the mythology of Now You See Me and pushes The Four Horsemen to a whole new level with our key returning cast and new characters."

"The Now You See Me franchise has been built on keeping the audience surprised and guessing. Any great magician knows you can't keep doing the same tricks. And Eric and his team of illusionists have something special up their sleeve for this new film," added Nathan Kahane.
