In the previous episode, titled “Fire in the Hole,” the Laginas switched up their strategy for finding the so-called buried treasures in the Oak Island. The episode left the viewers on tenterhooks if the Laginas would finally find the Money Pit.

The Curse of Oak Island Season 8 episode 20 starts with the thrilling journey of the brothers Marty Lagina and Rick Lagina as they continue their drilling activities at CD-7. They were convinced that the Money Pit must be somewhere in that region but could not find anything important there. Consequently, we saw them stopping their drilling activities in CD-7 and shifting focus to the Barringer targets in hopes of discovering some hidden, precious metals.

As the Laginas would continue their journey through the stone pathway, they’d discover some interesting objects, including some charcoal imprints, potter bits, and a tree root. The team would conduct metal detection on a baby ox shoe, which might date back the 18th century. The Laginas would also find a piece of wood dating back to the 17th century.

Now that you know the storyline of the episode 20, it is time to reveal the episode 21 spoilers. The upcoming episode of The Curse of Oak Island Season 8 will touch upon the history of Oak Island. There are several theories about the island’s origin. One school of thought believes that the region was originally a penal colony where prisoners would be exiled. In episode 21, we will see the Laginas discovering several ox shoes during their journey through stone pathway. It would be interesting to see if those discoveries can help the Laginas bring any closer to their ultimate goal of finding out the Money Pit.
