Lesbian Elsa could have a girlfriend in Frozen 3, what we know more

It has been over two years since Frozen 2 achieved huge success in Box office. The movie broke the records of its prequel and made USD 477.4 million in the global box office and USD 972.7 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of USD 1.45 billion. The Frozen was released by Walt Disney in 2013 and Frozen 2 premiered in 2019.

Viewers are eagerly waiting for Frozen 3. They believe Frozen 3 would clear the cliffhangers left in the prequel. Viewers have many questions about Elsa. For instance, who is Elsa’s girlfriend in Frozen 3? Will Elsa get a boyfriend in the upcoming movie? Who will marry Elsa? However, many fans assume that Honeymaren (a member of Northuldra) will return as Elsa's girlfriend.

Fans would be excited to hear that, “Disney has plans to give Elsa a female love interest” in Frozen 3, as reported by We Got This Covered. The site reports, “We’re told it’s definitely happening and again, the intention is for Elsa to have a girlfriend in the prequel, confirming her sexuality in the process.”

The creators wanted to show it in Frozen 2 but it was too early to say the full story in the second film. Furthermore, some countries would ban the film if it shows Elsa has a girlfriend. There was a gap of six years between the last two movies, so maybe fans have to wait until 2025 for Frozen 3.

Producer Peter Del Vecho told the Radio Times there have been “no discussions” about making of the third installment, with or without a lesbian Elsa.

Presently, Disney is tight-lipped about the making of Frozen 3. In an interview with Collider, Frozen 2’s director of story Marc Smith stated that he thinks “Frozen 2 is still too close to everyone’s minds and ideas to think about what happens beyond, beyond that.”
