The Union education ministry has rolled out an innovative initiative named 'Baalpan ki Kavita', aimed at creating a compendium of nursery rhymes and poems in all Bharatiya Bhasha and English. This initiative is rooted in presenting content that resonates with the Indian cultural and linguistic context.

Announced with the intent to enrich the foundational learning of young children, the project's goal is to utilize easily understandable and enjoyable poems and rhymes in native languages. Officials hope it will help children engage better with the world around them.

The ministry has partnered with MyGov to solicit contributions for the initiative, inviting submissions of traditional and newly authored rhymes across all Indian languages. Entries can be submitted from March 26 to April 24 without an entry fee, detailed on the MyGov website.
