CBSE has addressed concerns from Class 12 students unable to attend their Hindi exam scheduled for March 15 because of Holi celebrations. Acknowledging the regional differences in the festival's observance, the board announced these students will receive another opportunity to write their exam later.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj explained that while Holi primarily falls on March 14 across India, certain areas will celebrate on or extend festivities into March 15. Consequently, students in these regions unable to attend the exam will not be penalized.
These students can take the exam with others who are allowed a retake due to competing in national or international sports events, reflecting the board's flexibility and commitment to accommodating diverse regional practices.
