Signal Stars: Street Kids Turn Innovators with Robotics

Students from the Signal School, operating under a city flyover, have engineered a robot for a robotics competition. The 'Signal Stars' team consists of underprivileged children, eager to showcase their robotic creation at the FIRST Tech Challenge, held in Pune.

The talented students of Signal School, situated under a bustling city flyover, are breaking barriers as they prepare to participate in a prestigious robotics competition. This initiative, led by the 'Signal Stars' team, showcases their impressive innovation and determination despite their underprivileged backgrounds.

Comprising mainly of children from Standard 8th and 9th, the team successfully constructed a robot capable of movement and object manipulation. Bhatu Sawant, a director of NGO Samarth Bharat Vyaspeeth, proudly supports these young innovators and their promising creation.

Their remarkable journey will be spotlighted at the upcoming 'FIRST Tech Challenge' at Balewadi Stadium near Pune from February 28 to March 2, reflecting the potential and creativity of street children given the opportunity.
