In a significant development, students in Uttar Pradesh ceased their protest on Friday, following the UPPSC’s agreement to reschedule the Provincial Civil Services Preliminary Examination to December 22, accommodating their demands for a single-day exam.

This demonstration, which commenced on November 11, saw students advocating for a streamlined examination schedule initially slated for December 7 and 8. UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar announced the revised date and specified that the exam would unfold across two shifts.

While the majority vacated the protest site, around 10-15 individuals maintained their presence, prompting authorities to investigate. Student leader Pankaj Pandey confirmed the protest's conclusion, expressing satisfaction that primary demands were acknowledged, while awaiting further developments on secondary concerns.
