Autodesk and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionizing skills development across engineering, design, and innovation sectors. The MoU, signed by Autodesk's Steve Blum and IIT Bombay's Professor Ravindra Gudi, seeks to equip future professionals for the rapidly evolving 'design and make' industries.
Combining Autodesk's industry insights with IIT Bombay's educational prowess, the collaboration aims to transform India's technical landscape. The initiative anticipates the growth of the design and make sectors, projected to reach a global value of USD 30 trillion by 2027, employing millions globally.
Autodesk's President and CEO, Andrew Anagnost, attended the MoU signing, underscoring the importance of academia-industry partnerships in fostering innovation. IIT Bombay's Director, Professor Shireesh Kedare, emphasized the collaboration's role in aligning academic programs with industry needs to foster sustainable industry practices in India's future workforce.
