UDBHAV: Celebrating Tribal Heritage Through Eklavya Model Residential Schools

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, revealed strategic plans to establish Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) as leading institutions in India during his inauguration of the fifth EMRS National Cultural & Literary Fest and Kala Utsav 2024, named 'UDBHAV'.
The event, which continues until November 15, sees the participation of over 1,400 EMRS students from 22 states, each showcasing the diverse cultural tapestry of India's tribal regions. The initiative aims to boost educational standards within tribal communities, originally pioneered by then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with the establishment of 100 EMRS.
Emphasizing the integration of cultural education, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durgadas Uikey, advocated for students to embody Ekalavya's ideals, enriching their cultural exchanges. The festival showcases 47 events, from music to literature, celebrating the multifaceted talents of these young learners.
