In a move poised to modernize India's fashion education, Union minister Giriraj Singh advocated for integrating artificial intelligence and blockchain technology within the curriculum of the National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
Addressing a joint convocation ceremony for four NIFT campuses, Singh described the nation's trajectory toward becoming a developed nation. He urged the fresh graduates to aim at becoming job creators rather than job seekers within the next 4-5 years, envisioning a strong Indian presence in the textile industry.
The convocation commemorated graduating students from Delhi, Raebareli, Kangra, and Panchkula campuses, with over 80% securing employment through campus placements. Noteworthy was a top job package of Rs 18 lakh, underscoring the graduates' readiness to enter the workforce.
