ISRO Chairman S Somanath is set to engage with students of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society on November 12 at the Dr Babu Jagajeevanram Research Institute. Known for his notable contributions to India's space initiatives, Somanath will share insights from his journey in rocket science and space missions.
Somanath's interaction will include an engaging Q&A session moderated by Guruprasad, Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, offering students a chance to learn about India's recent space exploration triumphs. The event promises to inspire over 2 lakh KREIS students to consider careers in STEM fields.
The programme will also feature a live rocket launch by the Himalayan Space Lab and the inauguration of a ham radio station, providing students a practical exposure to rocketry and communication technology. This initiative aims to bring STEM experiences to economically disadvantaged students, equipping them for future scientific pursuits.
