Math education platform Bhanzu has successfully raised USD 16.5 million in a new funding round led by Epiq Capital and Z3Partners, the company announced on Monday.

Current investors Lightspeed Ventures and Eight Roads also contributed to the funding, which underscores Bhanzu's growth ambition across its operations spanning India, the US, the UK, and the Middle East. The platform aims to combat math anxiety and foster confidence among students by offering interactive group sessions to boost their success in STEM fields.

Founder Neelkantha Bhanu emphasized the significance of this milestone amidst challenging times in the edtech sector, stating that it reinforces Bhanzu's robust market position. The company is determined to harness the gap created by under-innovated curricula in the math education sector, particularly in the US, to extend its influence globally. Partner Chinmay Katdare noted that Bhanzu's recent growth stems from an innovative blend of pedagogical techniques and advanced AI application.
