Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, accusing him of neglecting unemployment issues during his decade-long rule. Reddy alleged that Rao prioritized his family by appointing them to political positions, rather than addressing critical issues like teacher recruitment.
Reddy made these remarks at an event distributing appointment letters to 10,006 newly-recruited teachers. He pointed out the swift recruitment of 30,000 vacancies within 90 days of the Congress assuming power, contrasting it with Rao's alleged inaction. The CM stressed the importance of the newly-recruited teachers in improving public schools, where more than 24 lakh students are enrolled.
Highlighting the government's commitment to education, Reddy announced a budget allocation of Rs 21,000 crore for various initiatives, including free power supply to government schools and infrastructure development. He urged teachers to focus on educating students to become exemplary citizens amidst growing preference for private schools in the state.
