In a significant appointment, Professor Arpan Bharadwaj has been named the Vice Chancellor of Vikram Vishwavidyalaya, Ujjain, by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangu Bhai Patel. The governor, who serves as the chancellor of state universities, announced the decision on Thursday.
Currently the in-charge principal at the governmental Madhav Science College, Professor Bharadwaj will now serve a tenure of four years, or until he reaches the age of 70, whichever comes first. This prestigious role marks a pivotal moment in his academic career.
Founded on March 1, 1957, soon after the establishment of Madhya Pradesh, Vikram Vishwavidyalaya is among the state's oldest universities, signifying a rich legacy of educational excellence and historical significance.
