Madhya Pradesh Guest Teachers Protest for Better Pay and Regularisation

Hundreds of guest teachers in Madhya Pradesh protested on Wednesday, demanding regularisation of services and better pay. Police eventually dispersed the protest. Congress president Jitu Patwari met the teachers, accusing BJP leaders of breaking promises to regularise their services. Hundreds of guest teachers convened in Madhya Pradesh's capital on Wednesday, demanding the regularisation of their services and improved pay conditions.

In the late evening, police dispersed the protesting crowd at the Second Bus Stop area.

Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari met with the protesters, accusing BJP leaders of failing to uphold their promises. Patwari emphasized that former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had once advocated for teacher regularisation during Congress rule, yet now, the BJP government continues to neglect their needs, with some teachers working for 16 years without regularisation.
