Spain's Sports Minister Pilar Alegria announced stringent sanctions against those involved in violence during the Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid match. The match was halted due to objects thrown onto the pitch, targeting Real Madrid's goalkeeper. The government aims to eliminate such violence in soccer stadiums.

Spain's Sports Minister, Pilar Alegria, declared that stringent sanctions will be imposed on individuals responsible for violent incidents during the recent match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium.
The referee, Mateo Busquets Ferrer, had to pause the game for several minutes when some Atletico ultras hurled objects at Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Alegria emphasized that the Spanish government is committed to eradicating violence in soccer stadiums.
