In a significant move, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren declared that the state's labour department will initiate the opening of residential schools for impoverished children across all 24 districts starting next year.
While addressing a government event in Dhanbad, Soren revealed plans to escalate the number of model schools in the state from 80 to 5,000. This will enable children from economically challenged backgrounds to compete with private school students. Additionally, Soren distributed employment offer letters to approximately 36,996 youths, placed in various national and multinational companies.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned a travel and unemployment allowance for trainees at block-level skill-acquisition institutes and unveiled 217 projects valued at around Rs 178.12 crore for the Dhanbad district. Turning to the newly appointed youths, Soren encouraged them to aim higher and continue advancing their careers based on their skills and aspirations.
