Shikshagraha, an education movement aimed at improving one million public schools in India, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to leverage cloud computing technology for its tech-based improvement initiatives. The movement aims to optimize technology costs and enhance platform security using AWS's tools.
Over the next five years, Shikshagraha plans to implement its school improvement programs in 100 districts, impacting approximately 40 million children by 2030. The initiative is already active in several states and Union territories, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, and more.
AWS will host a micro-improvements repository to document and present school enhancements. The cloud will enable Shikshagraha to adopt a pay-as-you-go model for its technology infrastructure, facilitating collaboration among government bodies, local CSOs, youth, and community-based groups.
