In anticipation of the September 27 Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections, numerous student organisations have rolled out their manifestos, each presenting a unique set of promises aimed at garnering votes.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has announced an 11-point manifesto, focusing on enhancing the admission process, campus infrastructure, and providing employment-oriented education. Key pledges include a 'One Course, One Fee' structure, large-scale job fairs, and more scholarships for marginalised students.
Conversely, the Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India (NSUI) is prioritising a 'student-first' strategy, highlighting transparent examinations and increased student involvement in decision-making. The Left alliance of AISA-SFI is committed to social justice and affordable education, promising to tackle fee hikes and champion gender justice. Voting will commence on September 27, with results expected on September 28.
