In a disturbing incident, law enforcement officials have apprehended a school teacher in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on allegations of molesting two minor female students and physically abusing nine male students, according to an official statement on Wednesday.
The two female students brought their complaints to the attention of the school's principal, reporting that the 47-year-old teacher engaged in indecent behavior. Concurrently, additional complaints surfaced accusing the teacher of physically assaulting nine male students.
In response, the principal assembled a committee to investigate these accusations. The committee's findings corroborated the students' claims, prompting the principal to file a police complaint. Consequently, the police detained the teacher and registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to the Sadar police representative.
