The Delhi High Court has permitted seven students to attend classes at St. Stephen's College, following their appeal regarding seat allocations by Delhi University. The bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, instructed the university to halt further seat allocations.
The court has asked for responses from both the university and the students, based on an appeal against a single-judge's decision granting admissions. The matter will be further heard on January 28 next year.
The case highlights the ongoing tension between the university and the college, affecting students who were caught in a state of uncertainty, preventing them from opting for other colleges.
