The bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, instructed the university to halt further seat allocations.
The court has asked for responses from both the university and the students, based on an appeal against a single-judge's decision granting admissions. The matter will be further heard on January 28 next year.
