A probe into a viral video alleging misconduct by a school principal has found claims of him holding a nursery student hostage and making derogatory remarks as baseless, officials reported on Monday.
The district administration's investigation, led by DIOS V P Singh, reviewed CCTV footage and school records and found no evidence supporting the serious accusations. The video, purportedly showing the principal and the student's mother arguing, was edited, officials noted.
However, it was confirmed that the principal had spoken harshly to the student's mother during the argument, but this was not seen as misconduct. Additionally, the allegations of labeling the student a 'terrorist' were unfounded, with the term used by the student's mother. The school had waived fees for one of the student's siblings for the current academic session.
