Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the need to recognize teachers who employ innovative methods, indirectly critiquing previous administrations. Addressing recipients of the National Teachers' Awards, Modi stressed the importance of preparing young students for 'Viksit Bharat'.
During the interaction, which took place on Friday and was shared via video on Saturday, Modi suggested that teachers involve students in identifying the top 100 tourist destinations in India as part of their educational tours. These excursions, he believes, can enrich their learning experiences.
Modi pointed out that the awarded teachers were selected through a rigorous process and noted their efforts could significantly contribute to the implementation of the new National Education Policy (NEP). He also urged educators to connect on social media to share best practices and highlighted the importance of teaching in local languages to preserve India's cultural heritage.
