School Closures in Ranchi Due to Government Bus Utilization

The administration in Ranchi has commandeered private school buses for a government event, leading to the closure of schools. This is the third disruption in recent weeks. The event involves around three lakh beneficiaries under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana. Traffic diversions will also be in place.

The Ranchi administration has announced the closure of most private schools on Wednesday, as their buses are requisitioned for a government event. Authorities disclosed this on Tuesday, marking the third such disruption in two weeks, following the Bharat Bandh and a BJYM rally.

The transport needs stem from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's scheduled transfer of the first instalment to beneficiaries of the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana. The event will accommodate lakhs from multiple districts at the Training Ground, Khojatoli, Namkum.

For smooth traffic flow, routes will be diverted, and vehicle entry limited solely to event-related transportation between 8 am and 8 pm on Wednesday. Notably, many government schools lack their own transportation, affecting their operations as well.
