Delhi University Welcomes Freshers with Grand Reception

Delhi University's 2024-25 academic session commenced on Thursday with a spirited welcome for incoming undergraduate students, featuring vibrant posters, anti-ragging campaigns, and signature drives.

The North Campus saw heavy traffic as excited students, accompanied by their parents, flocked to various colleges. Stringent security measures were in place, with police deployed outside and volunteers inside greeting freshers with chocolates and flowers. Anjali, a newly admitted BA (Hons) English student at Hansraj College, expressed her excitement about starting college life.

Over 65,000 students have been admitted into various undergraduate programs across the university's 69 colleges. Admissions are still in progress, with a third round slated for performance-based and special quotas. Students need to finalize their admissions by August 30 via the CSAS portal.
