Massive Turnout for UP Police Recruitment Exam Amid Stringent Security
The UP Police recruitment exam saw the participation of over 6.57 lakh candidates across 1,174 centres in Uttar Pradesh. The event, spanning five days, involved heavy security with 25,000 police personnel and 2,300 magistrates overseeing it. Several arrests were made for spreading rumours and attempting to leak exam papers.

The UP Police recruitment exam, held on Saturday, saw a turnout of over 6.57 lakh candidates across 1,174 centres in Uttar Pradesh. The extensive five-day operation, which began on Friday, featured the oversight of 25,000 police personnel and 2,300 magistrates.
A total of 20 individuals were arrested for various offences, including spreading false rumours about paper leaks. Among those apprehended was Anirudh Modanlal, who was caught by the Special Task Force for allegedly distributing fake question papers via the Telegram app in exchange for money.
The recruitment drive was launched to fill more than 60,000 vacancies and follows the cancellation of the previous exams held in February, due to paper leak allegations. UP State Transport Corporation facilitated free bus services for candidates, including electric buses in several districts.
