Delhi University (DU) has reported that a total of 65,290 students have confirmed their enrollment for the first round of undergraduate admissions. Since Tuesday, around 19,000 more students have accepted the college and course combinations offered by the university, according to an official statement.

The university has extended the deadline for online fee payment to secure admission in the first round until midnight on Wednesday. Initially, the deadline was set for 4:59 pm on the same day.

DU offered admission to 97,387 students in the first round for its 71,600 undergraduate seats. Out of these, 83,678 students have accepted the allotted combinations through the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) portal. By 5 pm on Tuesday, 46,171 students confirmed their admission by paying the fees.

To date, 17,868 students have 'freezed' their course and college choices, indicating a delay in finalizing their decisions. Additionally, 42,668 students have opted for an upgrade, up from Tuesday's 27,613, meaning they have applied for changes in their college and course preferences.

On August 22, the university will display a list of vacant seats on the candidates' dashboard after the first round. The second round of CSAS for the 2024-25 academic session will begin with this.

During this phase, students will have the opportunity to reorder their higher preferences for college and course combinations. This window will open at 5 pm on August 22 and will remain open until 4:59 pm on August 23. The last date to make online payments and secure admissions in the second round is August 30 until 4:59 pm.
