Germany has summoned the Iranian ambassador and called on Iran's new government to authorize the immediate resumption of teaching at a German language institute in Tehran. This request came from the German foreign ministry on Tuesday.

"We condemn the actions of the Iranian security authorities against the German Language Institute of Tehran. There is no justification for this. Language exchange is the basis of mutual understanding," a ministry spokesperson stated.
