In a recent plea to Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor called for the establishment of ample NEET-PG 2024 exam centres in every state to mitigate the need for students to travel long distances and face accommodation challenges.

Through a letter shared on social media, Tharoor emphasized the drastic reduction in the number of cities conducting these tests, affecting thousands of medical aspirants. He stressed the untenable position this places on students, given India's diverse weather and the logistical hurdles in securing affordable travel and lodging.

Asserting that national exams should be accessible across the nation, Tharoor addressed concerns regarding the two-shift examination system and its potential impact on result normalization. He urged immediate resolution to avert jeopardizing the future of India's prospective medical professionals.
