The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an NIT Jamshedpur B.Tech graduate and two MBBS students in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case, officials announced on Saturday. The total number of arrests related to this scandal has now reached 21.

The detained MBBS students, identified as Kumar Mangalam Bishnoi (2nd year) and Deepender Sharma (1st year), allegedly solved stolen exam papers for monetary gain. Ringleader Pankaj Kumar, an engineer, is accused of having stolen the exam papers from a National Testing Agency trunk in Hazaribagh. The students purportedly delivered the solved answers to NEET UG aspirants who had availed the gang's services.

Additionally, Sashikant Paswan, a B.Tech graduate from NIT Jamshedpur, has been identified as one of the masterminds behind the paper leak scheme. The CBI took over the investigation from Bihar Police and has already arrested several others connected to the case. The probe into these alleged irregularities is ongoing, with six FIRs lodged so far.
