Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy on Monday extolled late Congress leader K Kamaraj's tenure for its corruption-free administration in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at Kamaraj's birth anniversary celebration at a government school, Rangasamy lauded Kamaraj's emphasis on education, pledging that his government aims to enhance the educational standards for children. He announced full reimbursement of private school fees for children from marginalized sections in the Union Territory, ensuring no financial barriers hinder their education. Additionally, he confirmed the full reimbursement of college fees for scheduled caste students pursuing higher education.

The Chief Minister highlighted various education-related schemes named after Kamaraj. Prominent attendees included Speaker R Selvam, Home and Education Minister A Namassivayam, AINRC legislator K S P Ramesh, and Director of School Education P. Priyadharshini.
