Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated the 'Prime Minister's College of Excellence' across all 55 districts in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's New Education Policy as a crucial step towards making India a developed nation by 2047.
Speaking from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College in Indore, which has been designated as a PM College of Excellence, Shah commended the state for leading the way in implementing the NEP. He emphasized the policy's role in fortifying the nation's educational foundations and ensuring India competes globally.
Shah lauded Madhya Pradesh for initiating medical and engineering courses in Hindi, thus benefiting students, and declared Indore, known for its cleanliness and industry, as an emerging education hub. The colleges, developed with an estimated cost of Rs 486 crore, will focus on employment-oriented education.
