U.S. Greenlights Major Missile Sales to Denmark and UK
The U.S. State Department has approved significant arms deals with Denmark and the UK. Denmark will receive air-to-surface missiles worth $842 million, while the UK will acquire infrared countermeasures for $160 million. Lockheed Martin and Boeing are the primary contractors for these sales.
The U.S. State Department announced on Friday its approval of substantial arms sales to Denmark and Britain, amounting to more than $1 billion in deals.
Denmark is set to receive joint air-to-surface standoff missiles and accompanying equipment valued at $842 million. This transaction is designed to bolster Denmark's defense capabilities.
In a separate agreement, Britain will purchase infrared countermeasures worth $160 million, intended to enhance the protection of their large aircraft. Lockheed Martin and Boeing have been identified as the primary contractors for these international sales.
