JSW Energy has announced the sale of 2.5 crore equity shares in JSW Steel, amounting to Rs 3,150 crore, through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

This transaction leaves JSW Energy with a remaining balance of 4,50,38,350 equity shares in JSW Steel, according to regulatory filings. The divestiture, conducted on May 18, was strategically aimed at unlocking liquidity for the company's growth plans.
