A fire erupted inside an empty train coach at Sasaram railway station in Bihar early Monday morning, officials confirmed. Smoke was seen pouring from a compartment of the stationary Sasaram-Patna passenger train located on platform number 6 around 5:30 am.
According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, railway officials promptly alerted the fire brigade. The flames were brought under control within half an hour, preventing any casualties.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The incident highlights the importance of safety protocols and emergency responsiveness in railway operations.
