The Delhi government has gathered feedback from 700 stakeholders on its proposed electric vehicle (EV) policy, aimed at hastening EV adoption in the capital, according to Transport Minister Pankaj Singh.

Key recommendations center around battery standards, charging infrastructure, vehicle scrapping, and subsidies on EVs and their infrastructure. Singh highlighted significant suggestions during the consultation process from over 400 public feedbacks and 200 responses from industry stakeholders.

The policy envisions incentives totaling Rs 1 lakh for new electric cars, with additional support for two-wheelers and e-autos. Under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, it aims to be a benchmark for other cities, focusing on clean mobility and public health.
