A tragic incident in Maharashtra's Thane district on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injury to one, as an SUV collided with a state transport bus, according to officials.
Occurred around 11.30 am, the crash took place at Tokawde in Murbad taluka along the Murbad-Ahilyanagar Road. The Divisional Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) Thane division, Sagar Palsule, confirmed that the SUV was en route to Kalyan when it hit the MSRTC bus traveling in the opposite direction.
The two deceased were seated in the front of the four-wheeler, while an injured passenger was taken to a hospital. Officials from the Murbad bus depot quickly responded to the scene for rescue and relief operations. The identities of the victims have yet to be confirmed.
