In an emphatic nod to Gujarat's evolution, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Surat, outlining the state's transformation into a pivotal investment hub.
Patel emphasized the strides made in infrastructure, recalling efforts such as the Jyotigram scheme and extensive canal networks. He noted the modernization of ports and the state's substantial contribution to India's industrial output, seen in a foreign direct investment influx of USD 68.9 billion.
Looking ahead, Patel shared ambitious plans to escalate Gujarat's share in national exports and pivot towards futuristic industries like semiconductors and green hydrogen. The announcement was underscored by a call for sustainable practices in water usage by Union Minister C R Paatil, addressing environmental concerns over groundwater extraction.
