Engine Failure Sparks Emergency Evacuation on Swiss International Flight

An incident involving a Swiss International flight from Delhi to Zurich resulted in the abrupt halting of its takeoff due to an engine fire. The crew quickly stopped the aircraft and executed an emergency evacuation, leaving six passengers injured in the process.
The flight, operating as LX147, was an Airbus A330, according to Flightradar24. Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport declared an emergency following the engine failure, temporarily delaying other flights. However, normal operations resumed shortly after.
Injured passengers were transported to the hospital, while airport operations adapted swiftly to ensure minimal disruption. Swiss International has not yet provided a statement regarding the incident.
