India's aviation sector witnessed a significant milestone as Avyanna Aviation Pvt Ltd emerged as the sole Flying Training Organisation (FTO) to receive a top 'A' rating in the latest DGCA rankings. Released on Friday, the rankings of 35 FTOs saw no entries making the highest 'A+' tier.
This marks a notable improvement from the first-ever ranking that surfaced on October 1 last year, when no FTO achieved an 'A' or 'A+' rating. The civil aviation ministry highlighted the enhanced performance standards, citing a rise in 'B' rated FTOs and a decline in those falling under the 'C' category.
With operational, safety, and compliance metrics boosting scores, the introduction of the ranking system has spurred an increase in training hours and fleet expansion, positioning India as a burgeoning player in the global aviation arena with potential career opportunities for many.
