Metropolis Healthcare Reveals Robust 36% Profit Hike in Q3

Metropolis Healthcare announced a significant rise in net profit, experiencing a 36% increase to Rs 42 crore for the December quarter. This improvement comes in comparison to a net profit of Rs 31 crore during the same period last fiscal year.
Accompanying this financial growth, Metropolis reported a rise in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 406 crore, up from Rs 323 crore a year ago. The firm additionally set aside Rs 9 crore for the new labour code as an exceptional item in the quarter.
The board approved a bonus issuance of equity shares at a ratio of 3:1, signaling confidence in its growth strategy. Executive Chairperson Ameera Shah attributed the growth to the expanding Indian diagnostics sector, driven by preventive healthcare and an increase in chronic diseases.
