India and the European Union continue to tackle sensitive issues like steel, auto, and carbon tax as part of their ongoing free trade agreement discussions, the Commerce Ministry announced Wednesday.
During Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal's visit to Brussels, he emphasized the need for redressal of tariff and non-tariff barriers to boost trade, highlighting India's opposition to certain EU regulations.
Both sides aim to finalize the agreement by 2025, focusing on India's labor-intensive sectors and addressing the regulatory frameworks to foster better trade relations.
