Airlines are gearing up to launch 26,495 weekly flights as part of the Winter Schedule 2025, starting from October 26. This plan will connect 126 airports, accounting for a 6% increase in flight numbers compared to the previous year, according to a recent announcement by the civil aviation ministry.

The winter schedule, which runs until March 28, will see 3.46% more weekly flights than the current summer schedule. However, the number of airports connected will slightly decrease. Notably, domestic airlines excluding Air India, Alliance Air, and Fly Big show marked growth in weekly operational capacity.

The strategy includes the introduction of services to new airports such as Amravati, Hissar, Purnia, and Rupsi, while suspensions occurred at others, including Aligarh and Moradabad. Major players like IndiGo and Air India Express are increasing their flights, reflecting the season's expanded capacity.
