A tragic accident unfolded in Maharashtra's Akola district, where three individuals lost their lives due to a road mishap. The incident occurred on Tuesday around 10 pm on National Highway 53 near Kurankhed village.
The victims, including a couple and a cab driver, were struck by a speeding unidentified vehicle while awaiting help for a broken-down cab, according to Borgaon Manju police station in-charge Anil Gopal.
The police are actively searching for the offending driver, as the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Another person sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the Akola District Hospital.
