Mumbai, Srinagar: In a resurgence of cinema in Kashmir, superstar Salman Khan's blockbuster, 'Sikandar', is lined up for release in the towns of Shopian, Pulwama, Handwara, and Baramulla. The initiative, described as an Eid gift to the people of Kashmir, comes courtesy of Citara, a production company under the auspices of well-known filmmaker Tutu Sharma, Rahul Nehra, and iconic actress Padmini Kolhapure.

Citada's efforts to bring the thrill of Bollywood to Kashmiri audiences have been significantly boosted by the support from the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, with Bollywood and Kollywood rallying behind the initiative to showcase films in North and South Kashmir.

Tutu Sharma, the founder of Citara, expressed excitement over bringing 'Sikandar' to these regions and highlighted the film industry's commitment to Kashmir. Co-founder Rahul Nehra revealed plans to launch in more towns such as Pahalgam, Anantnag, and Ganderbal this year, with robust local administrative support.
