The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has approved a revised tariff that hikes the User Development Fee (UDF) for international passengers at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. This change, effective from April 16, keeps the fee for domestic travelers unchanged at Rs 129, catering to the dominant 80% domestic traffic.

Under this new tariff structure, international economy class passengers will see their UDF increase to Rs 650, while those landing will need to pay Rs 275. Business class passengers will now be charged Rs 810 and Rs 345 for embarking and disembarking, respectively, as per Friday's announcement.

This decision emerges as part of AERA's final tariff order for the airport, governing the charges for a five-year period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2029. The changes anticipate meeting operational costs and improving services for international travelers.
